You might wonder as a party planner why our tutors bring both charcoal and graphite pencils to our parties, well let us explain..

Charcoal and Graphite pencils are the two most common options when sketching or drawing.

Graphite Pencils come in a variation of grades useful in any drawing with a focus of fine lines and detailed imagery. If you’d like your clucking sketch to be neater, refined and down to intricate details over deep shadows, graphite pencils are the one for you!

Charcoal is perfect for sketching, creating dark shadows and shaping however its prone to smudging and is generally rougher and darker. If you want your sketch to not reflect in the light and have a focal point of darker values, charcoal is the perfect tool for you!

We know the likelihood that most of your hen do or party may have not touched a sketchbook and utensils since their last lesson with their most eccentric teacher many years ago, so our tutors spend your first half an hour getting you re acquainted with your old pal the pencil/charcoal, this allows every fabulous member time to decide which they’d prefer to use throughout the session, want to mix it up and use both?
