Meet Midlands based hen party life drawing tutor Cathy! As well as getting other people to make pictures, and creating cheerful illustrations, Cathy is (very impressively) one of the few female members of the Professional Cartoonists Organisation!
Birmingham hen party life drawing tutor Louise gained a BA (Hons) in fine art from Birmingham School of Art in 2013, specialising in drawing, painting and printmaking. She has exhibited her work nationally, most recently at Wolverhampton and Birmingham art galleries, and last year exhibited alongside Tracey Emin at the Oxo Gallery in London. She has been shortlisted twice for the Sketch Drawing Prize and was selected for the RWA and West Midlands Open Exhibitions last year. Louise runs her own weekly life drawing classes in Cradley Heath and teaches art and art history privately to both groups and individuals.
Rachael is a fearless artist and with a host of inspiring ideas, she encourages you to embrace your inner creativity and have some damn good fun at your hen party life drawing class. She also paints portraits at the queer nightclub Bollox in Manchester.
Ciaran is a singer, model, radio presenter and actor from Birmingham who got into life modelling as an extension of his photographic modelling. Ciaran says it’s great meeting new people and he loves to workout, so does not mind his body on display at all. He is a classically trained singer and can often be found performing solo in the pubs and clubs around the Midlands. Ciaran is also lead singer of the rock band Corvus and you can check out the album ‘Chasing Miracles’ on Spotify.
David is a 27 year old gas engineer, who likes to keep fit and healthy by weight training, rock climbing and other forms of exercise. He finds life modelling exciting and looks forward to the laughs that are to be had with the hens. David prominently works in the Midlands area but surrounding areas are also considered.
Jenny is your hen party life drawing tutor from the West Midlands. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art and a PGCE in art education. For her own artwork creations, she specialises in oils and acrylics, with a love of combining realism and abstraction. She also does fire-poi, but is yet to combine that with art! Jenny is where you will find your balance of making fabulous fun memories and creativity for your perfect Hen Do day.
Yuki graduated with a 1st class degree in Fine Art Painting from Camberwell College of Arts in 2008. Since then, she’s assisted a number of professional artists, whilst also producing her own nature inspired artworks. Yuki recently moved from London to Wales where she now paints full-time and offers Hen Party life drawing in the Midlands and Wales. Her paintings have been exhibited across Europe and East Asia.
Jake is an experienced art and design secondary school teacher from Northamptonshire who loves teaching life drawing and realistic painting. He makes realistic still life paintings with a funny twist which feature his collection of rubber ducks as much as possible! Jake enjoys the balance of fun and challenge that Hen Party life drawing in Birmingham and Midlands area presents and brings a wealth of experience in helping people to approach drawing for the first time.
Becca studied at the London College of Fashion, specialising in Design for Performance. She now works as a Cambridge-based artist, designer and tutor alongside her day job in publishing, and enjoys nothing better than travelling with a sketchbook in tow and working with Hens With Pens all over the south UK. Becca believes passionately that everyone can learn to draw and lives by Maya Angelou’s words, “You can’t use up creativity; the more you use, the more you have”.
