Dorset-based Susan is an experienced life drawing tutor who teaches painting and drawing skills in Weymouth and Sherborne. Exhibiting regularly in the region, Susan has recently exhibited with Wessex Contemporary Arts at Dorset County Museum. In 2014, her work was selected for the Thelma Hubbard Open. Recent projects include a two year exhibition with the National Trust supported by the Arts Council.
Jack has been modelling with Hens With Pens for almost 4 years. He likes to practice new poses at home on a regular basis for the hen parties, to help keep the hens nice and happy and make sure that they enjoy their time as much as possible. Hiking up mountains and general fitness are big hobbies of his.
After 15 years as a fine art lecturer in further education, teaching drawing, painting and printmaking – your hen party life drawing tutor Claire now runs local community art workshops and school holiday art clubs for children in South Wales. All the while, she’s developing and extending her own practice. Claire never goes anywhere without a sketchbook; she’s inspired daily and has a passion for visually recording her world. As a qualified teacher, Ade has been teaching drawing and painting to adults in community education since 2004. Based in Weston-super-Mare, he is also Weston’s number 1 children’s entertainer and 3rd funniest stand-up comedian. His lively lessons are influenced by these other passions, bringing humour to the sessions. He recently tried to sharpen a pencil in the dark, but he couldn’t see the point! Ade is a black and white illustrator, focusing on pencils, charcoal and ink pens.
Becca studied at the London College of Fashion, specialising in Design for Performance. She now works as a Cambridge-based artist, designer and tutor alongside her day job in publishing, and enjoys nothing better than travelling with a sketchbook in tow and working with Hens With Pens all over the south UK. Becca believes passionately that everyone can learn to draw and lives by Maya Angelou’s words, “You can’t use up creativity; the more you use, the more you have”.
Yuki graduated with a 1st class degree in Fine Art Painting from Camberwell College of Arts in 2008. Since then, she’s assisted a number of professional artists, whilst also producing her own nature inspired artworks. Yuki recently moved from London to Wales where she now paints full-time and offers Hen Party life drawing in the Midlands and Wales. Her paintings have been exhibited across Europe and East Asia.
Life drawing tutor Kimberley is a Bristol based artist, freelance illustrator, filmmaker and experienced hen party tutor. As well as running regular art workshops exclusively for women in Bristol and at festivals around the UK, Kimberley has exhibited her work nationally; including in the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London and the Arnolfini. Creating work in a number of different disciplines, Kimberley incorporates spoken word, film, photography and, of course, life drawing into her work.

Her exciting global career includes modelling in Paris and London, working in 2 and 3-D, mixing all kinds from paint to plastics. A former Director of Southwest Open Studios she has taught in scout huts, universities and hospices with fabulous and fun results. A Master of Philosophy and expert dating coach on Channel 4 means you won’t be short of experience and encouragement to give your heart to your art and enjoy the fun. Bryony’s artwork has sold at the Royal Academy and overseas, and is treasured by many local collectors.
Bristol-based Hens With Pens life drawing tutor Sophie is a practising artist and curator hailing from Wales. Sophie studied Fine Art at Bath College and Brighton University before spending several years in London developing her practise. Sophie has exhibited and sold work internationally and in 2017 she co founded the Bristol Art trail as a platform to help Bristol based artists exhibit their work to the public.
Scott is an artist with a contemporary 2D painting practice grounded in drawing with a figurative and suburban architectural focus and social critique. He is based in a studio in Hackney Wick, London but splits his time between London and Bristol. Scott has a solid technical understanding of creating work across various media including oil paint and different drawing materials. Scott has worked at The Queensland College of Art as a Studio Technician and painting tutor and led workshops at UK universities including Brunel and De Montfort. He has been a tutor in life drawing in private classes, hen parties and workshops for young people.
Scott is an actor, artist and life model with a diverse career and experience. His experience as an actor encompasses theatre, film and TV and he has an extensive physical theatre background traversing viewpoints, contact improvisation, some acro-balance and contemporary dance. Scott’s model work is dynamic and focused. He has previously modelled for The Prince’s Drawing School, Redbridge College and Candid Arts among others. Scott is available to model all over the South West, London and the Cotswolds.
